Updates on Evan

In every miracle of nature.

Dear Family and Friends,
I’ve wanted to post so many times, yet the words do not come. The depth of sorrow and pain of losing Evan is really indescribable. However, I do want to reach out and let you all know how much your ongoing support has meant to us.

I know without a doubt the good Lord has put each of you in our path to say just the right thing at just the right time. Thank you. Your letters, cards, e-mails, messages, hugs and smiles have lifted us up through the darkest of times. We are so grateful Evan touched each of your lives in a positive way and hopefully made a lasting impression. A grieving parent’s worst fear is that their child will be forgotten.

It‘s been six months since Evan left us. Time does not make it any easier. We only get better at distracting ourselves. Our friends have been especially wonderful – understanding when we need space, helping us to laugh and allowing us to cry.

As the snow began to fall yesterday and all through the night I couldn’t help but think Evan had a hand in this “White Christmas.” Like most kids, Evan loved to see it snow. He told us shortly before he died that he would see us in every miracle of nature.

We see you Evan, we feel your spirit with us – always.

With love and God’s blessings to your family this Christmas,
Myra and Jeff
