Posted a few new pics of Evan. The first shows his hair regrowth from August to September. The second photo shows his hair as of October, and the third is a smile for you.

Evan is a little under the weather right now. He's been fighting with a sore throat since last weekend. He's been to the doctor and it seems to be just inflamed/irritated from his sinuses draining. He started on an antibiotic today, we're hoping that nips it in the bud.

Evan received a thumbs-up from the Make-A-Wish people! His wish won't happen for a few months, so we'll tell you know more down the road.

Have a great week!

October update.

Sorry for the long delay in posting, but as mentioned when this all began with Evan, no news is good news. Heís been feeling well and getting along great at school. Heís gained 5 pounds, has added some muscle tone from carrying his backpack and his hair is coming back in darker and straighter than before. Iíll post a photo soon. I know heís probably getting annoyed with his Dad and I from constantly rubbing his fuzzy head, hugging his thin frame and telling him how great he looks Ė itís a world of difference from this time last year.

Yesterday, Evan had an appointment with the pediatric surgeon to check his stomach wound. We had been concerned because it had leaked several times in the past two weeks. The doctor said he thought the wound actually looked pretty good and he still didnít want to put any stitches in. Fine with us!

Last Saturday a team from the Make-A-Wish Foundation came over to the house to talk to Evan about his wish. Contrary to popular belief, Make-A-Wish is not a ďlast wishĒ for the terminally ill, rather itís for any child facing a life threatening illness. They offered Evan a wish mid-way through his treatments, but he wasnít physically or mentally able to think about a wish let alone enjoy one. He asked if he could wait until his treatments were through and they said yes. His wish is being reviewed by the powers that be in Chicago, weíll let you know what it is -- if and when itís granted.

Our greatest wish continues to be hope for all the children still fighting the battle. Special love and prayers to all our fellow Rhabdo families.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
